Model Driven Flex Development with LCDS3 Beta, now available on labs
I am pleased to announce that we have made the LCDS 3 beta available (require Flash Builder 4 Beta) for preview. There is a lot of new and interesting features, including the ability to develop flex applications from a model. We have provided seamless developer, deployment experience that should definitely improve developer’s productivity.
You can find more information on labs.adobe.com.
We have a couple of introductory videos that should help you get started. Some of the folks are putting together more videos that walks through specific features in more detail, but those will not be available until the end of this week or early next week.
Download the product and let us know what you think of it. Feel free to use the Forums and bug base to provide us feedback or suggestions.

Hi Anil, I’ve tried to deploy the modeler plugin within FB4 Beta and it doesn’t work. I’m unable to see any perspective or view related to data modeler.

The JIRA project LCDS is presenting a permission violation page to all users. We look forward to logging any new issues we find.

Thanks Matthew, I have asked someone to take a look at this. We should have this fixed today!
Take a look now, it should be working!

Hi Anil,
great stuff. I really like the new dcd/model centric approach.
I wanted to take a closer look at the cool model-driven approach with lcds3 and fiber, but I ran into a problem:
The eclipse modeller plug-in and it’s namespace seem to be the problem. As soon as I create/open a model (xml) in shows the following error:
“Cannot find the declaration of element ‘model’”
in:
LCDS
What am I doing wrong?
I downloaded the newest versions of lcds3-beta and modeller plug in (labs) and the newest Gumbo version from prerelease program (build 246332). I’m working on a Mac!

Simon, you have to use the labs version of Gumbo to work with the LCDS 3 on labs.
If you want to use the pre-release version of Gumbo, you will have to download the bits from our pre-release site. Send me an email (anilc@adobe.com), and I can add you to the pre-release site.

I installed the LCDS3 with the tomcat, but it failed to start sampledb:
